Whether you’re visiting Phoenix for the first time or looking to shop local, these stores offer everything from handmade goods and home decor to clothing, jewelry, and desert-inspired gifts that actually feel like Arizona. I am going to divide the best souvenir shops into regions, as Phoenix is such a large area!
Scottsdale Souvenir Shops
If you’re looking for a more polished, boutique-style shopping experience, Scottsdale is one of the best areas in the Phoenix metro to find unique souvenirs. From Old Town’s walkable streets to curated local shops, you’ll find everything from Western-inspired pieces and handmade goods to trendy clothing and elevated Arizona-themed gifts. This is the perfect place to shop if you want something that feels a little more aesthetic (and less touristy) while still capturing the desert vibe.
The Merchantile of Scottsdale
This Phoenix Souvenir Shop (or at least Phoenix general area) is a GREAT place to start. If you had to choose just one store to go to, this would probably be my choice. The Merchantile is a hub for numerous small businesses to interact with the community and display their merchandise, from clothing to stickers to jewelry to art to local candles and more. I have numerous clothing items from here that I wear all the time! If you live here, totally recommend stopping by when you’re in Scottsdale next and getting a local goodie. If you’re traveling, this is the perfect place to grab a Phoenix-themed souvenir AND a gift for someone at home!
Kactus Jock
I’ve been to Kactus Jock many times but I’ve never taken my own photos, so refer to their instagram post above for an idea of what it is like! It’s a mix of classic souvenirs that you’d hang on your fridge mixed with sporting gear (really cool flower NBA/MLB hats like the one I’m wearing), super unique metal decor like the doorknobs. They’ve also got awesome lawn decor, mexican tiles, and local foods. This is a great shop to check out!
Rancher Hat Bar
Hat Bars are ALL THE TYPE in Arizona now. I love the idea, and it makes a PERFECT ARIZONA SOUVENIR. Whether you’re visiting for a bachelor party, family get together, or on a girl’s night out, this activity is perfect! Make a custom cowboy hat with flowers, branding, charms, and anything else you can imagine!
5th Avenue Shops
The 5th Avenue Shops are an awesome spot to shop around and grab a local souvenir. This is a beautiful street lined with lights crossing from shop to shop. These shops are convienently located in Old Town Scottsdale, where all the hotels and restaurants are!
Downtown Phoenix Souvenir Shops
Downtown Phoenix is one of the best places to shop local, with a mix of creative boutiques, artisan goods, and modern Arizona-inspired finds. This area leans more trendy and design-forward, making it perfect if you’re looking for souvenirs that feel stylish, functional, and actually worth bringing home. Many of these shops highlight local makers, so it’s also a great way to support small businesses while finding something unique to the city.
Phoenix General
If you plan on spending any time in Downtown, definitely stop by this PHOENIX SOUVENIR SHOP: Phoenix General. This is an upscale, vibey gift shop with lots of local goodies that bring the desert vibes. While you’re there, walk a few steps and grab a beer and soft pretzel at Pedal Haus or Arizona Wilderness Brewing.
The Merchantile of Phoenix
Yes, this is the same merchantile mentioned prior, just at a different location. Isn’t the outside adorable?!?! Like I mentioned, The Merchantile is one of the BEST SOUVENIR SHOPS IN PHOENIX.
Tempe Souvenir Shops
Tempe and the East Valley offer a more laid-back, eclectic mix of souvenir shopping, with everything from outdoor gear and college-town staples to plants, jewelry, and locally made goods. This area is perfect if you’re looking for something casual, functional, or a little different from the typical tourist shop—especially around Mill Avenue and nearby neighborhoods. It’s a great stop for unique finds that still capture the Arizona vibe without feeling overly curated.
The Plant Mill
This is a very special shop. Such a unique gift shop in Phoenix. And yes, you can take plants through the airport with you (carry-on!). Nothing more representative of the desert, than taking a plant home with you! The shop also carries amazing 3D printed gifts, pottery made my local artists, unique stickers, art, etc.
Pure Life Jewelry
Want a Phoenix souvenir that no one else has?! Stop by Pure Life Jewelry! This cute jewelry shop is located in Tempe and has an amazing display of ALL HANDMADE JEWELRY from necklaces to earrings to rings- both for men and women. Jenny, the owner (I’ve met her many times, she’s amazing!), can also make you a custom piece. Even if you’re headed out of town, she can ship you your item. Keep in touch with her social, she has many fun local events, too! I’ve gotten numerous pieces of jewelry from her!
Maricopa Botanicals
As I mentioned before, in my opinion, plant shops are some of the best PHOENIX SOUVENIR SHOPS. Remember that when you’re shopping small, you’re taking home products that were made by HAND, and plants that were grown locally. The owners Leah and Joe (and their shop dog Luca) are so passionate about their plants. I love their Plant Bar within the shop where they can pot any plant for you. I’m so impressed by their handmade pottery! This shop is within Cul De Sac Tempe, a CAR-LESS community. While you’re there, stop by some of the other fun shops, too!
Cactus Sports
Are you a local but you don’t have any ASU gear? Maybe you’re visiting and want some fun college gear. You need to stop by and grab a local Arizona souvenir from Cactus Sports. It’s located on Mill Avenue, right by The Plant Mill! Cactus Sports is Alumni-Owned since 1992. So you know that when you shop here, you’re supporting local business, not a large corporation!
Gilbert Souvenir Shops
Gilbert offers a charming, small-town feel with a growing mix of boutique shops and locally owned stores. Around the Heritage District, you’ll find everything from handmade goods and home decor to thoughtful, Arizona-inspired gifts that feel more personal and curated. It’s a great spot to browse if you’re looking for something unique in a quieter, more relaxed setting.
Blue Planet Outdoors
If you want OUTDOORSY SOUVENIRS, gifts for hikers, or hiking souvenirs, this is the place for you. Blue Planet Outdoors is another amazing local shop and man, they have everything that I love. I have worked with them to promote their shop, as you can see in the video below! It’s a little hidden gem in Downtown Chandler, a very fun and family-friendly town in the Phoenix Valley. This wonderful shop has all kinds of Arizona themed shirts, stickers, jewelry, art, candles, bags, and so much more! When you’re done shopping, you can walk to some of the amazing local restaurants AND coffee shops. One of my favorites, Peixoto (a local roaster) is right across the street!
The Farm Store at Agritopia
Last but not least is the Farm Store at Agritopia, in Gilbert. “We have curated the best items from around the valley and beyond for great additions to your own home, the perfect gifts for friends and family, and keepsakes if you’re from out of town and want to remember this amazing place. We’ve also loaded the store with food products from your favorite vendors and items you could use to pull together a delicious meal quickly and easily.” What more can I say? I love stopping in here. So many other shops and restaurants in the same area, too!
Map of Phoenix Souvenir Shops
To make planning your shopping stops easier, I’ve mapped out all of the best local Phoenix souvenir shops included in this guide. Since these spots are spread across Downtown Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Gilbert, using a map can help you group a few together depending on where you’re staying or exploring for the day.
👉 Tip: If you’re short on time, focus on one area (like Downtown Phoenix or Old Town Scottsdale) and visit a few shops within walking distance. If you have more time, you can easily turn this into a half-day or full-day outing by combining multiple areas.
