Arizona DESTINATIONS

from the desert red rock to charming mountain towns

ARIZONA’S GEOGRAPHY

Arizona isn’t just desert- it’s home to vibrant cities, small mountain towns, and natural wonders. This page helps you explore Arizona by highlighting the best destinations across the state, with itineraries and “things to do” guides. Here’s a little breakdown of how I separate the state-

CENTRAL ARIZONA: Metro Phoenix aka “The Valley,” Scottsdale, Tempe, Superstition Mountains, etc

NORTHERN ARIZONA: The Mogollon Rim (Payson, Pine, Strawberry), The White Mountains (Pinetop-Lakeside, Greer), Sedona, Flagstaff, etc

HIGH DESERT: The Grand Canyon, Page, Lake Powell, etc.

SOUTHERN ARIZONA: Tucson, Sonoita, Bisbee, Tombstone, etc.

Central Arizona

Explore the “Valley of the Sun,” which literally has over 300 days of sunshine per year. There are an endless amount of things to do in Phoenix, from hiking Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale to walking on Mill Avenue in Tempe, to driving to the Superstition Mountains for a hike.

Northern Arizona

I can’t lie, northern arizona is the fricken best. it’s so amazing to me that you can drive just a few hours (sometimes even just 1), and be in a completely different landscape. when you live in phoenix, it’s the best way to get a change of scenery year-round.

Arizona’s High Desert

the high desert in arizona is something magical. from places like page, arizona where you’ll see horseshoe bend and antelope canyon to the grand canyon- one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Southern Arizona

southern arizona is such a beautiful and historical area of the state. from the old western town tombstone to the chirachua mountains to the forest on top of mount lemmon, there’s always something to do.
