BAVARIAN LODGE
HOTEL DETAILS
RATING: 4-stars
ADDRESS: 810 US Hwy 2, Leavenworth, WA 98826
DOG-FRIENDLY: No
Price: $200-250 average
The Bavarian Lodge is one of Leavenworth’s Classics. It’s centrally located right across from all of the main street shops and restaurants, with Leavenworth Pizza Company being the closest in proximity. The hotel theme is on par with the rest of the town, which is very unique. It would be more pricey, but a room with the view of the street, especially at Christmastime, would be insanely beautiful. I highly recommend this one.

THE POST HOTEL
HOTEL DETAILS
RATING: 5-star

The Post Hotel is VERY LUXURIOUS. I highly recommend, if you an afford it. If you can’t stay in this hotel for your whole trip, consider doing a lower-cost week night, and staying somewhere else the rest of the time. This hotel has food, spa, pools, and everything you could need and want. It also has views of the waterfront and mountains.
SLEEPING LADY RESORT
HOTEL DETAILS
RATING: 3-star
ADDRESS: 7375 Icicle Rd, Leavenworth, WA 98826
DOG-FRIENDLY: Very!
Price: Average $200 per night
Sleeping Lady Resort is a special place in Leavenworth. Instead of being on main street, it’s about 10 minutes away on the Icicle River. It’s tucked back off the road within the trees, so you almost feel like you’re camping. There are multiple lodges and cabins on the property, along with 2 restaurants, a food court, and a spa. I was here for a medical conference which we had in one of the group lodges, which was so fun. They also have hiking trails, a garden, and a pool/ hot tub. It was very quiet and homey. It’s also VERY dog-friendly, which is nice for many people! I highly recommend.

LEAVENWORTH HAS A GOOD MIX OF PRIVATE, PUBLIC DEVELOPED, AND DISPERSED CAMPING.
PRIVATE CAMPGROUNDS
KOA Leavenworth
The nice thing about private campgrounds is the amenties. The most popular private campground in Leavenworth is KOA. KOA has RV sites, tent camping, and small cabins. They also have an ice cream stand, a general store with food, and showers. I took a shower here during my stay, but didn’t stay here. For me, it’s WAY too busy and crowded for me to want to stay.
PRICES: Tent- $50 average, $120 RV, $150+ cabin
Icicle River Resort
Icicle River Resort is a little more into the forest, away from the hustle and bustle. If I had an RV, I’d be here. No tents allowed here.
PRICES: $60-120
Alpine Village RV Resort
This RV Resort DOES allow tents (& hammock camping), and is right near the downtown area, which good be good or bad. It is more affordable, which is nice.

DEVELOPED CAMPGROUNDS
EIGHTMILE CAMPGROUND
For those of you who want to camp, but don’t need all of the amenities, eightmile campground is perfect. The season opens May 26. Until July 10, sites are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. After that until September 24, you can reserve sites. There is no electric here. Each site has space for 2 cars, a fire pit, a picnic table, and a few bathrooms throughout the campground. It’s really calm and quiet here. I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. It feels really safe.
PRICES: $24
BRIDGE CREEK CAMPGROUND
Bridge Creek Campground is 9 miles from Downtown Leavenworth, and past Eightmile Campground. It is on FR 7106, which leads to Colchuck Lake. There are less than 10 sites in this campground, and minimal amenities besides 1 bathroom. I tried to stay here, but it’s FIRST COME- FIRST SERVE and it was full.
PRICES: $20 + $9 extra vehicle
DISPERSED CAMPGROUNDS
FOREST ROAD 7601
The best parts of dispersed camping are the unique views, the privacy, and of course no cost. Whenever you camp dispersed, you need to LEAVE NO TRACE. Take your trash with. Be respectful. There are numerous pull offs on the side of FR 7601 going up the canyon.
PRICES: FREEEEE
ICICLE ROAD
Icicle Road leads from Downtown Leavenworth all the way to FR 7601. It’s a beautiful winding road that leads past campgrounds and trailheads. There are some pull offs on the side of the road, but it was hard to tell if it was allowed or not. I saw mixed reviews online. I did see people doing it, but I eneded up not doing it.
FINAL THOUGHTS ABOUT LEAVENWORTH LODGING
There’s so many beautiful and fun places to stay in Leavenworth, you’ll never get to experience them all. You really can’t go wrong. I personally loved Eightmile Campground and FR 7601. It saves on cost, and it’s just a special experience. If I was visiting in cooler weather, I’d stay in the Bavarian Lodge. I hope you find this useful!
