Breakfast & Coffee Shops
Some of the best restaurants in Prescott are those you visit in the beginning of the day- Breakfast & Coffee. Start your day with fresh pastries, local coffee, and cozy vibes before exploring Prescott’s trails or more of the downtown. Here are some of my picks.
This was such a cute cafe and restaurant. It is owned by an author, and follows a literary theme which I loved. The menu was like a book, and they literally served my check inside of a book. I want to note, they do breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea. Check out their Instagram or Website for hours on the day you plan on going. I have to say, the latte I had for breakfast was the best latte I had in my whole visit to Prescott. Definitely one of the top restaurants in Prescott.
If you’re looking for a cozy downtown spot to start your morning, The Raven Café is a Prescott favorite. Housed in a historic brick building just off Courthouse Plaza, it’s known for its warm atmosphere, local art, and rooftop patio that’s perfect for a sunny breakfast or mid-morning coffee. Pair a vanilla latte with one of their fresh, locally sourced breakfast plates, or stop by later for live music and a laid-back community vibe that makes The Raven feel like the heart of downtown Prescott.
camp grounds coffee & tea
For a true local coffee experience, stop by Camp Grounds Coffee, where modern design meets Prescott’s outdoorsy spirit. Their small-batch espresso and pour-over options are top-notch, and the breakfast burritos and toasts are perfect fuel for a morning adventure. It’s the kind of place where you can linger, chat with locals, and plan your next hike — all with a great cup of coffee in hand.
If you’re craving something sweet with your morning coffee, Parlor Doughnuts is the spot. This downtown Prescott favorite is known for its layered, croissant-style doughnuts that are as photogenic as they are delicious. With flavors like maple bacon, raspberry pistachio, and cinnamon sugar, plus great espresso drinks and cozy seating, it’s an ideal stop before exploring Courthouse Plaza or heading out to the trails.
Lunch & Dinner Restaurants
Up next on my list of best restaurants in Prescott are lunch & dinner restaurants. Perfect for a post-hike grub or a night out with your person, OR a nice solo date (it’s okay to eat alone, too!)
El Gato Azul is a huge hit amongst locals and visitors. I love unique restaurants like this that you can’t find anywhere else. The greenery is amazing and I love that it’s tucked up against a little river. They have a wonderful large menus with Tapas, which is a spanish term for a small dish. You can get multiple to try them out, or get a regular entree and use your “tapas” as apps. Highly recommend.
Rosa’s is such a cozy and delicious pizza shop just outside of the square. They have a small outdoor patio and a large inside with booths and tables and cute decor. You absolutely can’t skip out on the garlic knots. Pizza was delicious as well. I’ve been here twice and would love to go again! Another great pizza option downtown is Bill’s Pizza.
farm provisions
I didn’t get a chance to go last time I was in town, but Farm Provisions is on my list of best restaurants in Prescott to eat at. They offer a fresh farm-to-table style menu that has everyone chattering!
If you’re looking for a spot that feels both elevated and relaxed, The Barley Hound is one of Prescott’s best. Tucked just a few blocks from downtown, this dog-friendly gastropub offers inventive comfort food with a twist — think truffle fries, duck fat popcorn, and hearty burgers paired with craft cocktails or local beer. The shaded patio is especially popular on warm afternoons, and the menu changes seasonally to keep things fresh. It’s the kind of place that captures Prescott’s easygoing charm while still feeling like a special night out.

fire & sword speakeasy
Fire & Sword Speakeasy is an amazing space underneath Hotel St. Michael on Courthouse Square. This historic hotel (I stayed here!) was rebuilt in 1901 and the speakeasy has been around since prohibtion, still with the original underground tunnel. Highly recommend- the drinks were amazing.
